My name is John Robb (trailname "BadWheels") my goal in the next ten years is to become the first person to hike all 11 national scenic trails and to do so for the benefit of others who are in need.

I started my mission in 2008 by hiking the appalachian trail. I did so for the benefit of Gilda's Club of north Texas. During the 8 plus months that it took me to hike the AT i managed to raise over $27,000. You can read about this hike as well as view photos by clicking the appalachian trail tab.

When I started in march of '08 there were 8 national scenic trails, but in march of '09 the current white house administration signed into law 3 additional trails (arizona, pacific northwest and the new england trail).

My next hike will start in mid October of this year. It will consist of two trails, the first of which will be the Natchez Trace Parkway (444 miles) followed immediately by the Lone Star Trail (128 miles). The LST is not one of the 11 national scenic trails, but it is the only long distance trail in texas.

For this hike I will have the pleasure of raising money for the Be An Angel charity of Houston, TX. You can learn more about this charity by clicking the the tab above and/or by clicking the "be an angel" link.
